Tennis Court Reservation Project

In 2024, designated tennis courts at three locations will be available for the community to reserve by permit. Reserving a court will guarantee your playing time and you can avoid having to wait for a court.

Access to reserve courts by permit will open two weeks ahead of each reservation date for residents and one week ahead for non-residents. No refunds are issued once the courts have been booked.

Tennis courts available for reservation

The following five designated courts can be permitted in one hour increments:

  • Mount Pleasant Park (lit) - Courts 3 and 4, 7 a.m. – 11 p.m. (Courts 1 and 2 are for public drop-in use only)
  • Headwaters Community Park (lit) - Court 3, 7 a.m. – 11 p.m.  (Courts 1 and 2 are for public drop-in use only)
  • Russell Farm Park (unlit) - Courts 3 and 4, 7 a.m. – 8 p.m. (Courts 1 and 2 are for public drop- in use only)

Courts at all other locations are for public drop-in use only.

Anyone can play on permit-only courts when they are not permitted, but must vacate the courts when permit holder time begins.

Leagues and memberships

Saturday Ladder League Information

Indoor Pickleball Ladder League will be back in the fall! Subscribe to this page to receive updates by clicking 'Receive email updates' below.

How does the Ladder League Work?

Ladder Leagues are competitive!  You will play with players who are at similar skill levels and your ranking on a ladder is based upon your winning percentage (the ratio of points won to total points possible).

Players will move up or down the ladder based upon their winning percentage. The ladder captain will determine who moves up or down from one ladder to another.  Movement between ladders will be based on consistent rankings over time and must be agreed to by each captain and the league convenor.

Each week, players will be placed in groups of 5 in the order of their ranking on the ladder for match play. Because this is a new league, we will use self-rankings. You are expected to play every week unless you inform the captain that you will be absent.

All players will play a min of 4-5 matches in a round robin fashion and matches will be predetermined based on your ranking. Your playing partner will be predetermined each week and for each game.

Guidelines for Play

Five players will be assigned to a court, and a schedule of playing partners will be provided each week. One person will sit off and record the score. They will enter the score online. Be sure to enter the correct score as points are awarded for games won, and points won.

Players must call out the score before each serve.

Games are first team to 11. Hard stop at 11 points.

The league will run on the Richmond Hill Pickleball Network, and all players must commit to play each week. If you are unable to play, you must inform the captain.

There are no make-up games or refunds for missed games.
