Valleyland Restoration

The Richmond Hill community has a number of streams and valleylands. Increased water runoff in urban areas affects natural stream activities, valleyland slope strength and the state of trails, bridges and sewers. Older neighbourhoods don't have modern stormwater management systems to help protect our valleylands from runoff.

Richmond Hill studied the valleylands in the busy urban areas of our community. We developed our 10-year investment program to improve and repair these areas affected by large amounts of water runoff.
