Frequently Asked Questions about the Afternoon Teas

How much does it cost to attend your Afternoon Teas?

Cost of teas vary depending on the type of program/workshop scheduled for the tea date. Please see our request form to confirm the set price of your selected tea date. All guests must pay the full fee to attend afternoon teas regardless if they partake in the program/workshop.

Payment is required in advance for groups consisting of 6 or more individuals. For groups of 5 or less, payment may be made at the conclusion of the tea sitting.

How long are the tea sittings?
Each tea sitting lasts 1 hour. If we are hosting a program/workshop during the tea, a sitting can be up to 1.5 hours. Please see our request form to confirm sitting times.
Can I stay longer than my reserved tea sitting?
Your sitting ends at a specific time: 1 hour or 1 ½ hours (dependent on program/ workshops) after your scheduled start time, regardless of late arrival. Please be mindful of when your sitting ends as our team will need to clean and re-set the tables for the next sitting.

Can children attend teas?

Yes, children are welcome to come and enjoy our Afternoon Teas.

Children (ages 3+) will be required to pay the full cost of the set tea price regardless if they share their food with an accompanying adult. We also ask that all accompanying adults supervise their children.

Do you offer any children programming for an Afternoon Tea?

Yes, we occasionally program special teas for children. Please see our request form for current tea dates and descriptions.

However, if you are looking for a themed Afternoon Tea Birthday Party, please see our Birthday Party Request Form and select either Victorian Tea Party or Victorian Parlour Party for your tea party.

Do you accommodate dietary restrictions?

Yes, we are peanut allergy aware and we can also provide a vegetarian selection of sandwiches. Please mention any dietary restrictions you or your guests may have at the time you request your booking, so that we can coordinate with our food supplier. Please note, we do not provide other dietary substitutions such as gluten free and vegan options.

How many guests can be seated at a table?
We can accommodate up to four guests per table. If your party is larger, we will arrange separate tables for you and aim to have these as close as possible. However, we are not able to guarantee this prior to your experience.

Late arrivals

Our tea sittings have a specific start and end time. The tea will begin at your scheduled reservation time (e.g. 1 p.m.) and lasts for either 1 hour or 1 ½ hours depending on program/workshops, regardless of late arrivals. Your table will be held for 15 minutes beyond your reservation time. Please be courteous. If you are running late, please call to let us know at 905-780-3802.

What is your cancellation policy?

We ask that guests give us as much notice as possible in the event you need to cancel your reservation, minimum 24 hours before your sitting time. Food is prepared specifically for each guest and will be discarded if you have not cancelled with adequate notice. Proper notice also gives us the opportunity to call the next person on our wait list.

To cancel your reservation, please call 905-780-3802 and leave a voice message. Cancellations cannot be made via the online request form.

Please note, if you do not show up for your reservation or if you cancel with less than 24 hours notice, we may require pre-payment for future reservations.

For large groups: We require a full payment for groups of six or more at the time of booking. This payment is refundable with written notice - 10 business days prior to the event.

Do you have a waiting list for cancellations?
